The concept for the ISI Shinjuku campus is “‘Discovery Gateway’: Discovering a new you and a new future with the Japanese language.

At the Intermediate II level and above, students can take part in elective classes. This provides an environment for students to focus on an area of Japanese which aligns with their future goals.
For the “Job hunting class”, the applicant must meet have Intermediate level III or higher leve Japanese, and meet criteria for obtaining a work visa, such as having graduated from a university or junior college in their home country.

Prepares students in writing research proposals and short theses that are required when applying to graduate schools in Japan.

EJU Preparation Class

EJU Preparation Class

Prepares students in using academic Japanese and studying for the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) which is required when applying to universities in Japan. (*subject: Japanese)

JLPT Preparation Class

JLPT Preparation Class

This class focuses on problems that are likely to appear in the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) as well as reviewing problems that have appeared on previous JLPT tests. Practice tests are administered before the actual JLPT.

Job Finding Class

Job Finding Class

These classes prepare students for job hunting through practical learning such as "Resume writing", "Interview practice", and "Presentation skill improvement".

Practical Conversation Class

Practical Conversation Class

Seeks to improve conversation skills through activities such as role-play, debate and field work.
