INFORMATION
ISI provides support in the form of free Japanese language education to those who have fled Ukraine to Japan.
We have accepted 15 students so far, providing them with Japanese language skills and education about life and culture in Japan, which are essential for living and working in Japan, as well as career guidance and visa support for those who wish to go on to higher education or find employment in the future.
Hearing the voices of those who said they “want to get back to a normal life as soon as possible” by utilizing their experiences in their home countries in Japan, we strongly feel our responsibility as a host institution.
ISI’s philosophy is to contribute to the realization of people’s dreams and the development of the international community through the creation of an educational environment for the development of global human resources. Based on this philosophy, ISI intends to support people with a bright future by providing free Japanese language education to those who have difficulty studying or finding employment in their countries of residence due to war, conflict, or other reasons.
By studying at ISI I can help other Ukrainians in the same situation. Without language skills, it is difficult to do even the most ordinary things. I want to work and communicate in Japan and become a member of society as soon as possible.

The main goal of my study is to work in Japan. The skills I acquired in my home country will surely be put to good use. Also, in order to integrate into Japanese society, it is important to make friends. Language is fundamental, and even in these dark times, it is a force that can brighten your life in a foreign country.

Since I came to Japan, I have met many Japanese people who want to know more about Ukraine. One of my goals in learning Japanese is to communicate what is happening in my home country in my own language.

I was finishing school when the war broke out. Although I have only recently come to Japan, I am already acutely aware of the need for Japanese language skills. Although I am confused, I would like to do my best to pass the Japanese educational institutions.
