Birth of the industry’s first “Career Japanese” program specializing in career support
ISI Career and Language Academy Harajuku, which goes beyond the boundaries of conventional Japanese language schools to pursue the quality of education and realize an ideal career support environment.
ISI Corporation (headquartered in Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President: Masaaki Ogino) will establish a “Japanese Language Career Course” specializing in career support for international students at ISI Career and Language Academy, Harajuku (hereinafter referred to as “ISI Harajuku”) in April 2022, subject to approval by the authorities. ISI Harajuku is the fifth and newest Japanese language school in the ISI group, which opened in Shibuya, Tokyo on April 1st this year.
The “Japanese Language Career Course” is a one-stop service to support international students in building their careers in Japan, from entering school to finding a job at a company, by further developing the Japanese language education methods and job hunting support know-how that the ISI Group has accumulated over the years.
Every year, more than 300 international students from ISI Group find employment in Japan after graduation. Our method of fostering highly-skilled human resources and our generous job hunting support are highly supported by many of our graduates and the companies they work for.
ISI Harajuku School will continue to create new educational values beyond the conventional framework of Japanese language schools.

＜Application Requirements >
・Those who aim to find a job or start a business in Japan or at a Japanese company, etc.
・Those who have a college student visa, working holiday visa, or other status of residence for more than 6 months (ISI Group will support those who do not have a college student visa)
・Those who have a university degree or higher in their home country, or those who meet the requirements to apply for a working visa (those who aim to start a business must meet these requirements).
＜Study hours・Class hours >
・Morning class: 8:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ・ Afternoon class: 13:00 p.m. to 16:10 p.m. (90-minutes x 2 classes/day)
・Semester: 10 weeks, 20 class hours/week, 1,600 class hours/2 years
◆Short Term Course
・Short-term Career Japanese [Business Japanese], Intensive Evening Course [Business Japanese]
・Summer Course (scheduled to start in July 2022)
※Students who apply for the short-term Career Japanese course will attend classes in the same class as long-term students, but will not receive internships or career support from career advisors. If you wish to receive career support, please apply for the long-term Career Japanese course.

- This course is ideal for those who aim to find a job or start a business in Japan, or for those who want to improve their Japanese language and business skills at the same time to advance their career.
- This course is designed for students at all levels of Japanese language proficiency, from beginner to advanced.
- We provide thorough job hunting support by our dedicated career advisors and class teachers.
- Learn the business skills (understanding of corporate culture, business manners, Japanese PC operation, etc.) required for employment in Japan.
- The curriculum also emphasizes the social skills (the ability to step forward, think things through, and work in a team) that Japanese companies are looking for in foreigners.
- In addition, we have a learning management system (LMS) and electronic learning materials that allow students to practice repeatedly to prepare for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), enabling them to realize a learning style that meets their learning goals. Internship support will be provided for those who wish to do so.
